Credit Union News

ATTENTION MEMBERS:
Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union no longer has an "in house" Collection Department.

We have chosen to outsource our past due collection accounts to a company called United Solutions that is based out of Tallahassee, Florida. United Solutions now makes all of our phone calls, sends mail and lettering for us, and handles any and all questions that the past FGFCU Collection Department previously handled.

So from now on, if you have a problem with your late or past due FGFCU account, please contact Lorraine Schlauch at United Solutions at 1-800-292-2024 Ext 5342 (8AM – 5PM EST) and she will be able to assist you.

In no way does this reflect your Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union account. We are still here to help you! This is a more economical way to handle our late and past due accounts, and it is a way to give our Members better and faster services than we have been able to give you in the past. Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union is and will always be here to serve and improve our services for you!

  • One of Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union's Members – Kenny Newborn – sent us some pictures and information regarding the Paralyzed Veterans of America Bass Tour, which consisted of five two-day tournaments that are held at various locations around the country. The first tournament of the 2007 PVA Bass Tour was the Southeastern PVA Bass Tournament, which was held March 16-18, 2007 in Augusta, GA at Wildwood Ramp on Clarks Hill Lake. There were 86 participants, including 36 PVA members. Each tournament consists of an Open/Team Competition for those anglers who wish to fish from a boat and a Bank Competition for those who prefer to fish from the bank. Disabled anglers in the Open/Team Competition are paired with able-bodied boat partners for the two day event. On day one, only the disabled anglers compete for a new boat package. On day two, the paired anglers compete as a team for cash prizes. The boat partners serve as coaches and help find fishing locations and choose baits. Disabled anglers in the Bank Competition are paired with volunteers who assist them in whatever they may need help with while fishing. Prizes are awarded based on the total weight of the ten heaviest fish each day, for two days. Kenny Newborn and his tournament partner, Earl Turpin, came in 1st Place for overall weight of 20.46 ounces (22 pounds), and they also won "Big Fish" at 7.26 ounces (8 pounds). They each won $600 for the tournament and $375 for having the largest fish. Another Fort Gordon Federal Credit Union Member – Alphonso Evans – is pictured presenting a prize check to Kenny and Earl. Alphonso is also pictured presenting awards to a couple of other winners. Congratulations! We love to hear about our Members and their events and success!!
